Aside from the cramps and cravings, one of the most frustrating things about periods is that they’re unpredictable. And even if you’ve had your period for what seems like forever, chances are you still experience a leak or mishap every so often—yep, even while wearing a pad or tampon. But there is a solution: period panties.Going pad-, tampon-, or even menstrual cup-free might sound uncomfortable to you if you've never tried period panties, but investing in a pair could save your sanity (and your sheets). Some are designed to be worn as backup with a tampon or menstrual cup in place, while others a built for heavier periods with multiple layers. "You want to make sure you clean your period underwear properly as leftover blood can lead to bacterial growth."
